What is happening at the farm?

What a wild summer it has been! Lots of exciting things happened at the farm this week. From melon harvest to jarring pickles to Roma tomatoes and onions in abundance. We are loving corn season so much that we decided to supplement our crop with more organic corn from Ferme Pleine Saveur!

A heads up: Our store hours are shifting as we approach fall. Starting next week our Saturday hours will be 10h-3h (instead of 9h-2h) and we will close at 5PM on Thursdays instead of staying open until 6PM. (For all the listed hours see below).

Fall CSA

The Fall CSA is filling up fast! We are already at 3/4 full so it is time to reserve your place if you want to secure your access to fresh seasonal vegetables all the way up to the holiday season.

The first share starts the first week of November with weekly or biweekly delivery.

You can anticipate choices from a variety of fresh greens from our greenhouse (spinach, arugula, salad mix, lettuce, bok choy, etc.), squash (butternut, delicata, pie pumpkins and more!), onions, garlic, leeks, carrots, beets, parsnip, rutabaga, turnip, cabbages, kale, chard, watermelon radish, radish, potatoes, fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, sage, parsley, cilantro, dill) and more!

Last year we had lots of fresh greens thanks to our electric greenhouses and we are planning on having even more this year!

Fall boxes are customizable with add-on options from our virtual farm store. They are pre-packed and we offer the option for home delivery!

And on top of all that we offer full credit for vacations so you don't have to worry about missing a box.

CSAs are a great way to eat seasonal vegetables year round while supporting the local economy and your loyal farmers and farmworkers.

Help us spread the word regarding our three season CSA program. (We also offer 8 weeks in the winter starting in February.)

Time to get excited, sign up and to spread the word! Thank you all for your amazing support!

Another perk is our CSA Facebook Group where we share recipes and storage tips and connect with our wonderful community.

Weekly farm fun fact!

A Fall CSA is made possible by extending the growing season. We do this by using both heated greenhouses and hoop houses or caterpillar tunnels (movable unheated greenhouse structures) for fresh greens and herbs, and by using storage crops - the practice of storing vegetables in cold rooms, such as roots and cabbages and by curing (drying out to preserve) onions, squash and garlic. Some of these storage crops last all the way until next year's harvest!

  • Wednesday-Friday 11h-5h
